My new cover makes me happy...

...IN MY PANTS.

Ahem.

It's the little things. The fold of the hat. The belt coiled in his hand, which illustrates a minor, smutty plot point. The fact that both he and the shadowy chick in the background look pretty much EXACTLY like the hero and heroine of my story.

Cover art is always a crapshoot. Or, at best, Forest Gump's famous box of chocolates -- always sweet, because any cover means you've sold a book, but sometimes? You get the raspberry cream. Blech.

Coincidentally, PBW discussed this very topic yesterday.

*stares at new cover some more*

Yep. Happy. In my pants.

My first reaction is, "it's about damned time—" I can't even remember when I first read this story for you.

Second reaction is, verra nifty and happy-in-the-pants-making cover, pet, but he is oddly hairless, no? I mean, not even the happy trail of Seven Year Ache.

At any rate, it's another cover. YAY, you!!!

Hairless is good. It means you don't get it stuck between your teeth or on the back of your tongue.

:-)

Eh... nope. Not good enough. I like my men to feel like men. Feeling like they just had a date with Nair is not it. Must be the Cuban in me. ;-)

Barb~ I wrote KILLING FROST in August and September of 2006 for the EC Cavemen contest. It wasn't picked up by EC, but Red Sage bought it about six months later.

The hairless doesn't bother me so much. Yes, I miss the treasure trail, but variety is the cayenne pepper of my life. So.

Alessia~ Yes, the model does seem well-endowed in that capacity. I wonder if he turns heads when it's cold outside.

Eva~ Body-builders? Do tell!

Ferfe~ Glad you approve. ;)

Dh was an award winning dead lifter. He was actually my boss, so I knew him prior to dating, but when we dated it was at the gym. Because we own a supplement manufacturing co. he goes to the Arnold every year, and we deal with a lot of BOH's (Bill of Healths).

But let me tell you the dark side. The big guys? The steroidal freaks? They're like Tiffany boxes with gumball rings inside. The steroids shrink their manly parts. All that beautiful muscle, missing the diamond.

you know there's a name for people like you, people who get other people addicted to their blog and then stop posting for days and days and days at a time.

The word might be "busy" or it might be some other b word.

and now I have barbra streisand singing in my brain "peeeeeeeeepllll who neeeed peeeeeeplllll" and I'll blame you for that, too.
